10 Blogs You Need to Follow!

Written by , Posted in Thoughts

I love to be inspired by recipe and design ideas, beautiful photography, and well written words. Inspiration can be found in so many different places. A photograph or a memory, a bag of groceries or the first apples of the season, and sometimes, often, it can be found on other blogs.

Some blogs focus on one thing. It could be amazing recipes or awesome design ideas, beautiful words that can bring laughter and occasionally tears, photography that is truly awe-inspiring. Yes, some just do one. But, there are a few blogs that successfully accomplish all three.

These ten blogs are some of my favorites. This is by no means a comprehensive list. Merely scratching the surface.

Simple Bites РAim̩e is an urban homesteader. She has great recipes, tips for cooking for and with kids, and is an example of the type of mom and cook that I aspire to be. I really respect and admire her.

Shutterbean – Tracey has a great eye for design, a love for stripes, and drool-worthy recipes. Plus, you can hear her and Joy on the Joy the Baker podcast. She cracks me up.

Waterfall Creative – Joanna isn’t a food blogger (although I know from personal experience that she loves to eat), but a graphic designer. She posts thoughts, ideas, cute photos, and is just insanely creative and talented. You’d be missing out to not follow Jo. Seriously.

Gluten Free Girl – I don’t eat gluten-free like Shauna does. But, that doesn’t stop her sensational recipes from inspiring me. She is innovative when it comes to GF eating. She’s the one I recommend to any GF friends/family. Plus, she and husband Danny are simply endearing. And they have the most darling daughter, Lu. Shauna is one of my favorite writers. She shares about life, not just about food. I respect that and appreciate the sincerity that she brings.

Joy the Baker – Joy’s was one of the first food blogs that I read. This lady inspires me. I have met Joy in person a few times and she is totally delightful. Plus, those recipes she writes about, they are actually as good as they look. She brought S’mores Blonde Brownies to dinner once. Amazing.

100 Days of Real Food – Lisa has great insight into eating well. She is a go-to for nutritious and delicious meals. She’s got such an abundance of healthy, whole food suggestions that I’m in awe.

Eating from the Ground Up – I recently bought Alana’s cookbook. I’ve been reading it like a book. Her blog is the same way. Great writing, and even better recipes. Love it!

Chocolate and Zucchini - Clotilde lives in Paris. That could be reason enough to read her blog religiously. But, she’s also got great recipes and is just adorable.

Anne’s Kitchen – Anne has a really cute cooking show. The show is in a different language, but it’s still charming and I definitely get the gist of things and even catch a few words here and there. Plus, her recipes look remarkable. It’s easy to understand the language of good food.

A Cozy Kitchen – Looking at Adrianna’s blog makes me hungry. Her photos are lovely and recipes inspiring. I totally feel like we’re secret friends after reading her post about the Fear Street series… I loved those too.

The holidays are quickly approaching. Vacation time! But, who needs an excuse to spend hours reading blogs, collecting recipes, being encouraged in your culinary journey… Not me. So head over and visit some of my friends (ahem, or the people whose words I read, whose lives are shared, who make me think that I know them… I don’t).

Happy Reading!
