Menu Oct 1-7, 2012
| Main | Side | Side | Notes | |
| Monday | Green Salad | Top your salad with some sliced pears, chopped almonds, and a homemade oil and vinegar dressing: balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, bit of maple syrup, drizzle in olive oil as you whisk. | ||
| Tuesday | Tacos | Melon and Basil Sorbet | Tacos = This Week’s Feast episode 42! | |
| Wednesday | Chicken with Balsamic Fig Sauce | Angel Hair Pasta tossed with Olive oil and Lightly Sautéed Arugula | Pasta: Cook pasta according to package directions. Sauté arugula quickly, with a tiny bit of olive oil. Toss pasta with arugula, olive oil, salt, and pepper. | |
| Thursday | Skillet Cornbread | Pear Spice Cake with Walnut Praline Topping | ||
| Friday | Butternut Squash Grilled Cheese | Roasted Tomato Soup | Grilled Cheese: May I make a suggestion? Try roasting some butternut squash and then using it in wonderful dishes. Like grilled cheese. Make your sandwich like normal, but add some roasted squash to one side of the bread. A fun little twist on a classic. | |
| Saturday | Chicken Nuggets with Honey Mustard | Crispy Potato Chips | Green Salad | Top your salad with some halved cherry tomatoes, chopped almonds, and a homemade oil and vinegar dressing: balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, bit of maple syrup, drizzle in olive oil as you whisk. |
| Sunday | Fennel Crusted Pork Loin with Roasted Potatoes and Pears | Crostini | I’d recommend crostini with arugula + olive oil + S + P (you can still follow the directions from the recipe though). |
